DSC Iotega Burglar Alarm Systems

You may install your own components (DIY : Do It Yourself) or have us install them for you. Programming for an initial DIY installation is $25.00. Installation or troubleshooting assistance for DIY installations or maintenance is available by phone, text and email for $25.00 per half hour.

After the initial installation future programming changes that can be done remotely will be completed for a charge of $25.00.

If you need us to install the components for you our installation charge for a basic system (10 components or less) is $100.00 (this does not include travel time outside of our normal area of work or the installation of Z-Wave devices) . This includes programming and testing!!! If you buy a system with interactive or complete interactive monitoring we will also set up your smart phone, computer and / or tablet to allow you to arm / disarm your system remotely using the Smartlink+ App from SecureNet. For systems larger than 10 components or systems with Z-Wave components we can provide an installation estimate free of charge.

Service calls after the initial installation to maintain, repair or test existing equipment or install and program new equipment are $100.00 for the first hour and $60.00 for each additional hour (this does not include travel time outside of our normal area of work).

If we perform the installation we will warranty all work for 1 year after the installation. On DIY projects the equipment will be guaranteed from defects for one year as long as they were properly installed and not subjected to physical damage.

We can provide design assistance for you over the phone or in person to determine what parts you will need to build a security system that will work for you and within your budget. If your budget is tight you can always start with a basic system and add addtional components later. We provide free estimates to furnish a complete security system including the installation.

Design tips : Every system must have an Iotega control panel. This panel has an integrated keypad that can be used to arm / disarm the system. It contains the communicator that will contact the central station in the event of an alarm or if a trouble condition occurs. It also has a built in sounder that activates under an alarm condition. The alarm panel has a power adaptor that must be plugged into a standard 120 volt receptacle. Each protected premises should have a door contact switch for every exterior door that leads into the house / building. Motion detectors should be placed in common areas to detect movement inside of the house / building. If you have pets inside of the house it is important to use pet immune motion detectors instead of standard motion detectors. Additional components can be installed to increase the level of security such as window contacts, glass break detectors, and additional indoor or outdoor sirens.

The system is capable of controlling multiple partitions so if you have a garage or even a detached garage or building located away from the main house or building the remote area can be protected independently of the main area. This means you can alarm the garage or detached building while you're inside your home. If someone breaks into your garage or detached building while its partition is armed the system's siren will sound and the communicator will notify the central station to call the police.

Additional keypads (touchscreen or LCD with buttons) can be installed to arm / disarm the system from other areas of the house. The touchscreen keypad also displays other useful information such as the time and weather. Two button remote keys can be purchased to arm / disarm the system without having to enter a numerical code on a keypad. Panic buttons can also be purchased and placed in convenient locations in the house to instantly signal an alarm when pressed and call the police in the event of an emergency.

The system can also control home protection devices such as smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, flood detectors and temperature detectors to increase the level of safety of your home and assets.

And if this doesn't sound great already this system can also control Z-Wave devices. This will enable you to communicate with devices like a smart thermostat, smart switches and smart receptacles and then control them by events, by a schedule or by your command using the Smartlink+ App from SecureNet.

Note : If your home / building is large and / or built of stone, brick or plaster with metal reinforcing members you may need to install one or more signal repeaters to increase the strength of the wireless signals. Wireless signals can normally travel up to a mile when wooden / drywall structures are used.

THE DEAL

Buy a security system and you can finance $360.00 of your equipment over 2 years (24 payments of $15.00).

There is no long term monitoring contract, you may cancel monitoring services at any time, but you must continue to pay off your equipment balance on a monthly basis if you decide to cancel your monitoring service.

Try your system risk free for 90 days. If we install the system and you are not happy with it let us know within 90 days and we will come and get it and refund any money you put down and / or paid off on the equipment. If you DIY then you must ship the components back in their original boxes and they must be in good working order to get a full refund on the items. Products must be shipped back within 90 days of receiving the material.

The first month of monitoring service is on us when you purchase and install or have us install a new security system for your home or business!

Installation by Competent Electrical Services

Starter kit includes an Iotega Control Panel ($390.00), (2) Window / Door Contacts ($32.00 each), (1) Motion Detector ($64.00) and (1) Installation ($100.00).

Total cost of material and installation = $618.00

Since the first month of monitoring is on us your initial cost is only $258.00 if you choose to finance $360.00 of your equipment cost.

If you choose to finance $360.00 of your initial equipment costs your monthly charges will be $15.00 plus monitoring charges of $15.00-$30.00 depending on the type of monitoring service you choose for two years. After your equipment is paid off you will only have the monthly monitoring charges. See monitoring options below. If you decide to cancel the monitoring service after your 90 day trial period you will still be responsible to pay the balance of your material off at $15.00 per month.

Total cost of material and programming = $543.00 plus shipping charges (approximately $20.00)

Since the first month of monitoring is on us your initial cost is only $183.00 (plus shipping charges) if you choose to finance $360.00 of your equipment cost. This assumes you can complete the installation yourself without help. Detailed installation instructions will be given. If you need additional help we can provide assistance by phone, text or email at an additional charge of $25.00 per half hour.

If you choose to finance $360.00 of your initial equipment costs your monthly charges will be $15.00 plus monitoring charges of $15.00-$30.00 depending on the type of monitoring service you choose for two years. If you subscribe to Complete Interactive Montoring to enable communication and control of Z-Wave devices we will install a free Z-Wave switch for your home or business (neutral wire required). Z-Wave switches allow you to control lights fixtures (and other electrical devices / applicances) by events such as burglar alarms, schedules or commands through the Smartlink+ App from SecureNet. We can program all your lights controlled by Z-Wave switches to come on in the event of a burglar alarm to further deter criminals from considering theft of your property. We are a full service electrical contractor so our burglar alarm technicians can legally (and more importantly safely) work on the electrical system wiring of your house (120 volts) to correctly install Z-Wave devices that connect to the internal wiring of your home or business.

Standard Monitoring : $15.00 per month (Managed alarm communication from customer's premise to central station, with carrier supervison)

Interactive Monitoring : $25.00 per month (Standard monitoring plus remote arm/disarm, alerts, zone status and event history using the Smartlink+ App from SecureNet)

Complete Interactive Monitoring : $30.00 per month (Interactive monitoring plus Z-Wave device control, scenes and event schedules)

 

Camera add ons (You must have high speed internet access and a WiFi router to use digital cameras)

SecureNet View Video : $7.00 extra per month (allows up to 4 cameras to be accessed, 250 events per month will be stored on the cloud)

SecureNet View Video Plus : $9.00 extra per month (allows up to 8 camera to be access, 500 events per month will be stored on the cloud)

Note : Cameras can have SD cards installed in them to allow you to continuously record video for up to 7 days.

 

Invoices for monitoring services are emailed and can be paid by credit card online or you can mail a check to our PO box for payment.

Invoices may be sent to you using United States Postal Service instead of email for an additional charge of $3.00 per month.

A fee of $10 will be charged for every late invoice.

If an invoice is not paid within 14 days of the due date monitoring services will be discontinued.
